BUSY WEEK

PHEW - what a busy week I had.  I went to the laundromat for the first time and watched the clothes go round and round for a while but that got boring so I just lay on my blanket with a bone.

 On Friday I got on a big bus to go pick up kids for ski camp - there was a big gap between the sidewalk and the bus steps but I did it all by myself!  So proud.  We rode for a long time into New York City where there were sooooo many people and cars and buses and just way too much to watch.  I thought I might get to walk around a little bit but right after we got there, the campers started arriving so we just hung out by the bus and watched the people rushing by and the dogs (all wearing funny coats, by the way, but nothing as awful as my elf suit) and a couple of pigeons.  We don't have pigeons where I live.  There were even people begging for food but nobody gave them any.  So glad I don't have to do that to get my meals!

Saturday was very exciting.  At my ski area every year there is a day they call Fun Day.  All day long the kids - and some grown-ups also - play games and have fun. Guess that's why it's called Fun Day!  This year it was all about pirates.  So I, of course, had to get dressed up.  It was only a bandanna and some beads, thank you.  I had visions of some horrid pirate version of the dreaded elf suit.

Then today the kids at camp had Beach Party.  There's no beach here and it's way too cold to be outside in beach clothes but that didn't stop the girls from wearing their bathing suits or the boys from wearing their muscle shirts (I think to impress the girls). Those of us with fur coats did not have to worry about the cold.

This is soooooo embarrassing

Another exciting thing happened today.  My friends Stan and Abby (they visited me when I was a little baby) have worked at the ski area for a long, long time - so they got trails named after them! How cool is that?  I think that RAISIN would be a good name for a trail!
