CONGRATULATIONS
CONGRATULATIONS TO ME!
Sitting on the table - this was Doris' favorite agility equipment. She's old, though, and the heat was too much for her this year so I did some of her weeks.
I love the tunnel
My favorite part of class night was my play time with Clarity and Bliss before class started. So much fun.

SPECTACLE POND - TAKE 2
How lucky am I!!! Not only did I get to go again to Spectacle Pond to swim - but my mom went with me. It is much more fun to chase sticks in the water with a buddy. And she gave me swimming lessons so I am now a pro swimmer - you can call me LABRA-FISH.

DR SEUSS
When I was a baby I went with my BFF Harvey to see the Dr Seuss sculptures in Springfield. Can you believe how little I was?
Now I am a year old and I went with my mom to meet my sister Robin and her mom there. It was very, very busy - at least a million kids were there and they all wanted to say hi to us, probably because we're so cute.
We met all the Seuss characters - and of course, had to have our pictures taken a kazillion times.

This is the Lorax.
There was a really cool bench that looked like people had left their lunch bags - they were not real, though, so there was no food. Bummer. Robin stood on the bench for her photo op - I decided to sit instead.

Are we not the most beautiful labradors you have ever seen???

It was very slippery underneath Horton and we both slid down the little hill.

This little boy LOVED us - he kept running away from his mom to visit.

This was a neat house made out of branches. We did not get to go inside because there were so many kids but we sat nicely outside and ignored them all while we had our picture taken yet again.
This is Dr Seuss - I thought maybe he had lunch in his lap.

SPECTACLE POND
I had a fun day today. In the morning I went for a long walk with the rest of the GG's, we hung around the house, I went to work for a while and THEN I went swimming in BIG, BIG water. I went there when I was a baby with my BFF Harvey but NOW I am a big girl and I can swim.
I love to play in the brook near my work but the water is not very deep. My first try at swimming in big water was a little bit scary.
Pretty soon, though, I was a pro and did not want to stop. Swimming is fun, fun, fun. Remember last winter I was practicing being a labra-dolphin? I knew some day I would be able to use that skill! I hope I can use it lots this summer.
My busy day was not over yet. After swimming we went home and had dinner. Then my mom and I went to Jacob's Pillow to watch people dancing. Swimming was much more fun.
I was so tired after my busy day that I did not even want to play when I got home. Just go to sleep.

TANGLEWOOD
Last year when I was a baby, I went to Tanglewood with my BFF Harvey, our mom and Harvey's other mom. There was a terrible, scary thunder and lightning storm. Fortunately I had my reindeer and Harvey to snuggle with.
This year we will go to Tanglewood many times. The first big concert is James Taylor. He is very, very popular and we needed to go before that to practice so it wouldn't be so hard for me when there were lots of people there. Our practice visit was on a beautiful night and not very crowded so I got to walk around with my mom and see all the sights.
This is a sundial. When the sun is out you can sit in the middle and your shadow will tell you the time. Very neat - except we puppies really don't care about the time except for eating time.
This concert was called Prairie Home Companion. There was some music but mostly talking (BLAH-BLAH-BLAH) which didn't interest me much so I just chilled out and chewed on my bone.
When we got there we had to walk up this big hill. Whew. I was very tired when we got to the top.
So - it's July 3 and the big night is here. Unfortunately this year there is a big storm system (just like my first time to Tanglewood!!!) but we crossed our fingers that the rain would hold off until after the concert and we went anyway.
No such luck. At least we were able to walk almost all the way before the rain started. Then BOOM - pouring rain and thunder and lightning. Fortunately my friends Mary Kay and Tammy were standing under some shelter and they made room for us.
My mom dropped my treat pouch (on no) on our way so she left me with Mary Kay while she went to look for it. She didn't find it but she had more treats so all was well.
When the thunder and lightning stopped, everybody went back to their seats on the lawn - in the pouring rain. Are they crazy?? We stayed under the roof where it was dry and we could still hear the music.
I was cold because I got wet so I snuggled in mom's lap to take a nap and she wrapped me in a blanket.
It was very muddy walking back to our car and we had to wait a long time for all the cars to leave. That's OK- we both took a nap.

The next day was James Taylor again. We were lucky because the rain stopped but it was very, very cold. There were lots more people there and because of that and because the parking lot was very muddy, we had to park a looooong way away. Our car was way in the back behind the trees!

There were lots of people sitting on the lawn. Just in case it did rain again, though, we sat under a roof and were nice and cozy.

While we were waiting for the concert to start, somebody walked by with a dog that was working. Maybe someday I'll come back to Tanglewood as a working dog!

I had to dress up (so what's new?) because it was Independence Day but I have to say that I was very beautiful.

Tanglewood is a very beautiful place and I look forward to visiting again soon.
