BARNES AND NOBLE

Today we went to Barnes and Noble - that's a store that has lots and lots of books, even more than at my house!  The humans were wrapping books for people who were shopping.  We puppies were just being cute which is something we are very good at.  Lots of people stopped to visit with me, Twain, Shade and Richie and learned about our job.

And again I have to wear this horrible elf suit.  Was there another puppy dressed up?  Of course not.  And I know they were all laughing at me.  I don't understand humans.

This is my friend Twain - he is only a little baby so he got tired very quickly

Why sit on the floor when there is a comfortable lap nearby?

Even though I'm a big girl now I also got tired and went to sleep right in the middle of the aisle.

It was a long, tiring day but a good day for my region.  There were lots and lots of people who learned about us puppies and the important job we will do when we are grown up.

THANKSGIVING

Thanksgiving is a human holiday - but I am thankful that, unlike many dogs, I have a warm house and plenty of food to eat. I am thankful that I have many friends both canine and human. I am thankful that I did not have to go to work on Thanksgiving and spent the day with my GG's.  And I am most thankful that because of the holiday we got special food both for breakfast and supper today!

5 MONTHS OLD

YESTERDAY I TURNED 5 MONTHS OLD!!  Today, though, I am 22 weeks old.  How can that be?
Today I got a chance to play in the snow.  It was fun but very, very, very cold out so I ran back inside quickly.

I saw these neat machines that were making snow!  It's like magic.  They make a funny noise but that didn't bother me because Raisins are very brave.

CRAFT FAIR

Part of my job as a GEB puppy is educating people about what I will do when I grow up.  We spent today at a craft fair at a high school in Winsted.  Merry was there with her mom Lil and Leanne was there, but without her dog Merritt because he was not feeling well.  So the job of being the cutest puppy fell to me - and I was up for the challenge!  We walked around all of the booths and I have to wonder - why do humans need so much stuff??  Give me a good bone and I'm all set!

This little girl really liked Merry and visited us many times during the day

And this group of girls gave me a great massage!

Being cute all day is very tiring and I spent a lot of time napping.  Merry's leg was a great pillow and she lay very quietly so she wouldn't disturb my sleep.

Even though I slept a lot during the day, I was VERY tired when we left.  I slept all the way home and only played with the GG's for a little while before I went to bed for the night.  It was also fun, though, and I hope I can do it again soon.

MY BIG DAY

I had a big day last week also.  Maybe not as big as Harvey's - BUT Monday was my last day in the baby class - Robin and I are moving up to the big dog class!  I'm one step closer to riding in this van.

HARVEY'S BIG DAY

TODAY IS HARVEY'S BIG DAY!!!!  WE ARE ON OUR WAY TO NY TO WATCH HIS TEST - FINGERS AND PAWS CROSSED FOR THE BIG DOOFUS.

I have to wait in the car - for a long, long time - good thing I am very happy in my crate.

Harvey's test

After the test Harvey got to spend some time with his moms

 The test was very tiring

Harvey is going back to the kennel after his post-test visit for some playtime with his roommates before the kennel tour and his final goodbye to his moms

HARVEY GOES TO COLLEGE

TODAY HARVEY IS LEAVING HIS OTHER HOUSE AND GOING OFF TO COLLEGE - TO THE TRAINING SCHOOL AT GUIDING EYES IN YORKTOWN HEIGHTS, NY.
We are leaving shortly to pick him and his other parents up for the ride.  Harvey gets to ride in the back of the car with his dad so they can spend some "quality time" together before he is gone forever.

We stopped part way so Harvey could have some special time with his Sue mom.  Here we are in the parking lot at "college".

I couldn't go into the kennel because I am way too little - it's very, very noisy and scary - but I got to spend some time with Harvey in the gazebo.  The GG's told him there were ducks in the pond behind it (that's what Harvey is looking for), but there weren't any on that day.

Harvey walked into the kennel like a champ - no barking even though everyone was barking at him.  This lady is trying to take his collar off but his head is too big!

Harvey always has something to say!

The floor is heated - what a nice place to lie down

Bye Harvey - we'll be back on Tues

20 WEEKS OLD

Today I am 20 weeks old!!  I am getting so big and all grown up.  This is me with my mom - I think I am going to be beautiful like she is.

This was kind of a boring week.  We went to work and did all our normal stuff but it wasn't as much fun without Harvey.

Friday night I got to got to see "Bubblemania" at the school.  We sat waaay in the back of the gym so I really couldn't see much but it was fun to have so many kids come say hi to me.

When we got home from the school, we found a horrible mess - BAD GG's.  They opened a bag of flour and it was EVERYWHERE.  I could not resist sticking my nose it also.

And on Saturday there was a party at the ski area.  Harvey got to come with his mom Sue and Kevin and Shyanne.  It was really a pizza party for people who work there - but it was also a goodbye party for Harvey.

I was SO happy to see my buddy again.  We got to play and run.

And we met Icarus - he's so old he lived in Otis before the GG's - and his dad Bob
