HAPPY NEW YEAR

                                    HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!

On New Year's Eve the kids at camp had a torchlight parade - they ski down the hill holding flares and it's very pretty.  I, however, was more interested in the skis and snowboards that were on people's feet.

Vacation week is almost over, thank you.  It's been a very busy week at the ski area - my winter home - and we're all very, very tired.  All of us GG's go to work with Mom during the day and then go home for the evening.  Except on New Year's Eve I went back to work to see the torchlight parade.

I met lots and lots of people.  Little kids, grownups, babies.  Some of them were wearing very strange clothing especially on cold days -  I could not even see their faces then because they had so much covering their skin.  I watched people sliding down the hill on skis and snowboards.  I wanted to chase them but was not allowed to do that.  Sometimes my mom is a real spoilsport.

I also got to ride in the groomer.  It is a big yellow machine that makes the snow nice for people who want to ski or board.  We sat up really high above the snow and I could look out the front or the back window to see the snow being groomed.  It was fun, just a little scary so I did not want to ride on the floor, just on mom's lap.
Next time I will try riding on the floor.

I learned to wait at the gate for kids to come pet me.  This is me and my granny Oneida.  Nobody is here right now, but the kids will come.  From this vantage point we can also keep an eye on what's cooking in the kitchen.  One can always hope for treats from there.

  I am one tired puppy
